Candle Magick Colors for
Affirmations
Colors are incredibly
important tools for affirmations. They are often seen in auras, dreams
and visions, and can have specific meaning, depending on the context.
Each Chackra or "energy wheel", the power centers in the
body that meditation teachers associate with the endocrine glands, has
a color association, and colors are often used in meditation and
candle meditations to achieve specific effects.
Red:
Anger,
sexual energy, dynamic energy, fire, summer, life in its fullness,
lust/passion, physical strength. You may see the color red in the aura
in the area of the base of the spine, but when you see it in other
areas, it can be an indication of high energy or injury. If you see it
in dreams or visions, it may be an indication of anger or sexual
energy. The more clear and strong it is, the more healthy it will be.
Muddy or dark reds indicate injuries or upsets.
Orange:
Sexual passion, healing energy, emotional balance. Orange in the body aura should be
light, clear and strong, located near the sexual organs. In other
areas, or in dreams and visions, it can indicate injuries in need of
healing, or issues with sexuality, especially if it is dark or murky.
Yellow:
Intellectual or rational energy, happiness, a youthful spirit, play,
birth/beginnings, thoughts/ideas. If you see yellow in the aura, it is
most likely to emanate from the Solar Plexus or lower chest area. When
it is located around the head it can indicate great intelligence,
strong ideas and a highly rational mindset. Dark or murky, it can
indicate confusion or stressful thinking.
Green:
Changes
taking place, abundance, prosperity, hope, earth, winter,
"death"/endings, rest. Green is the "money color"
in visions and dreams, and can show you areas of strong growth. The
more clear and strong the color, the stronger the path to prosperity.
If it is seen in the aura in the chest area, it indicates that the
heart center is strong and open. In other areas, it can show where the
person is experiencing growth. Dark, muddy green spots can be an
indicator of cancer or other "over-growth" diseases.
Blue:
Peacefulness, positive emotions, introspection, intuition. Blue is a
calming, cooling, protective energy, which is often seen in the throat
area of the aura. In the head region, it can indicate a person with
strongly spiritual thoughts. Dark, muddy blues in the area of the
throat can indicate someone who has a difficult time expressing
himself or herself.
Purple:
Protective spiritual energies, higher intelligence, aspiration. Purple
is one of the highest spiritual colors, but it can be over-used by
those who are drawn to spiritual interests. We live in the
"real" world and the ideal state of affairs is a fully
balanced spectrum. But occasionally you see these people I call the
"Purple Ladies". If you have ever met one, you know what I
mean. This is someone whose home, hair and wardrobe is a variation of
light shades of purple. Their eyes are glassy, and their thoughts …
ephemeral. Dark strong purples, royal purples, indicate prosperity and
power. Medium shades and lavenders indicate spiritual interests.
Muddy, swirled colors could indicate spiritual confusion.
Indigo:
Self-control,
the Third Eye. It is rare that Indigo comes up in a dream or vision.
When it does, pay attention, because your Third Eye or ability to
foresee the future has been activated.
Violet:
Spirituality.
Violet is a shade of purple and its meaning is similar.
Pink:
Peace,
calmness. Pink is another protective color, and generally indicates a
feminine, healing, nurturing energy. It is often seen at the top of
the head in the aura. It is also being used in prisons and hospitals
to encourage a peaceful, calming effect.
Silver or Grey:
Grey
usually indicates confusion, while silver is usually a color of an
inner aura called the "Etheric Shield". Some psychics have
also seen a "Silver Cord" that connects the soul to the body
during out of body or near-death experiences. The Silver Cord is also
mentioned in the Bible (Ecclesiastes. 12:6).
Gold:
You
will rarely see gold in the aura, but occasionally when you encounter
very high spiritual frequencies, you may see it around the top of the
head. It is important in protective visualizations, and is of course
an indicator of prosperity in dreams or visions.
White:
Purity
and clarity. White is a combination of all the colors and is often
over-used in protective visualizations. You may see white spots in the
auras of some psychics whose auras are a little too open. It may also
be seen in the top of the head during powerful meditations.
Black:
Transformation,
mysteries, hidden things. Black in the aura is a strong indicator of
illness or disease in the area of the body where it is seen. Black in
visions and dreams indicates hidden things, mysteries, and can
indicate illness or negative intentions. Black is used in candle
magick only to reverse someone else's negative intentions. NEVER use
it to send harmful intentions of your own. Remember, whatever you send
out comes back to you threefold.
